Project Overview
A city in Nebraska needed a high-capacity bucket suited to transfer-station material handling and compatible with its large wheel loader. The project required balancing capacity, loader geometry, weight, visibility, dumping performance, and the operating realities of moving bulky waste.
The customer wanted approximately 14 cubic yards of capacity while retaining acceptable rack and dump angles. The inside of the bucket needed to remain smooth to avoid snagging material, and the design also needed provisions for a wide rubber cutting edge. Ceres designed a 14-yard attachment around the customer’s loader, balancing capacity, weight, range of motion, and material flow. Customer feedback was incorporated into the final geometry, including a smooth interior and a replaceable rubber cutting edge.
